Specialist Program
AUSLAN
Connecting with others through language, culture and communication.
At Seville Primary School, students learn Auslan as a way to connect, communicate and understand different ways people share their ideas and stories.
Through fun and engaging activities, students build confidence using Auslan while developing respect and appreciation for Deaf culture and the many ways people communicate. Learning Auslan helps students become more inclusive, thoughtful and connected members of our school community.
PHYSICAL EDUCATION
Moving, playing, challenging ourselves and having fun!
At Seville Primary School, Physical Education helps students develop confidence, teamwork and a love of being active. Through a wide range of games, challenges and activities, students build their movement skills while learning the importance of cooperation, persistence and fair play.
Beyond weekly lessons, students participate in a rich variety of sporting events, activities and excursions that encourage participation, build confidence and create memorable experiences. These opportunities help students discover new interests, challenge themselves, develop resilience and celebrate the achievements of themselves and others.
Students are encouraged to have a go, celebrate improvement and support each other as they develop skills that help them stay active, healthy and connected.
SUSTAINABILITY
Growing, creating and caring for our world.
At Seville Primary School, Sustainability gives students the opportunity to explore, create and make a positive difference in the world around them.
Through hands-on experiences including gardening, cooking, composting and reducing waste, students learn about where food comes from, how we can use resources wisely and the importance of caring for our environment.
Sustainability learning encourages students to be curious, creative problem solvers who understand that small actions can make a big impact in creating a more sustainable future.
VISUAL ARTS
Creating, experimenting and bringing ideas to life.
At Seville Primary School, Visual Arts provides students with opportunities to explore their creativity, express their ideas and discover the joy of making. Students experiment with different materials, techniques and artistic styles while developing confidence in their own creative choices.
Through experiences including drawing, painting, sculpture and clay making, students learn to take creative risks, solve problems and bring their ideas to life. Visual Arts encourages imagination, curiosity and an appreciation of creativity in themselves and others.
PERFORMING ARTS
Finding your voice, sharing your creativity and taking the stage.
At Seville Primary School, Performing Arts brings music, drama, movement and storytelling to life. Students develop confidence, creativity and collaboration skills as they explore performance and learn to express themselves in different ways.
A highlight of our Performing Arts program is our biannual school production, where students have the opportunity to perform, work together and share their talents with the wider school community.
Through our partnership with Yarra Valley Music, students can also access private music lessons at school, providing opportunities to develop their musical interests, skills and confidence.
